How BMAC works
Bone marrow is the body's deepest reservoir of repair cells and growth factors. BMAC taps it: a small sample from the back of the pelvis, concentrated on-site, then delivered into the damaged tissue with imaging confirming every step.
BMAC contains a broader regenerative cell population than platelets alone, including hematopoietic and mesenchymal cells that can support repair in bone, cartilage and connective tissue — which is what makes it suitable for more advanced cartilage and joint problems.
The entire procedure is outpatient and completed in a single visit, using only your own biology. At Florida Regen, marrow-derived protocols are frequently combined with HD-ePRP for deeper tissue regeneration.

Common questions about BMAC
Does the marrow draw hurt?
It's done under local anesthetic with imaging the whole way — most patients describe pressure more than pain, and a bruised feeling at the site for a couple of days.
How is BMAC different from PRP?
Blood gives us platelets; marrow gives us platelets plus a wider regenerative cell mix. We pick one, the other, or both based on how advanced the tissue damage is.
How soon will I see results?
